This flyer was created and illustrated when I was working as a student graphic designer at Western Carolina University. The purpose of the flyer was to advertise for a student led music festival, a collaborative, creative event. Working closely with the student Event Coordinator to produce the final design, we discussed and contemplated many different aspects and design until we settled on this particular design. The name “Whee-Fest” refers to our location at Cullowhee, NC. The color palette was meant to be cool and mellow, while the wild cat depicted is supposed to be our mascot, which is a catamount.
